Deborah Dilley*—serves as the PRESIDENT of the Miss Rodeo America Scholarship Foundation. She is a retired commander of the Denver Police Department and graduated from Colorado State University. Deborah is a MRA Gold Member and is a contestant chaperone during the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. She is an ardent supporter of young people, particularly those who share her love of the western way of life. Deborah is a past president of the Scholarship Foundation and a former executive board member of a local federal credit union.
Mark Reinert - serves as the VICE PRESIDENT of the Miss Rodeo America Scholarship Foundation. Mark is from Kersey, Colorado, has 20+ years of business experience and 12 years of experience working with the rodeo and entertainment industry. Mark held the position of Co-Director for the Miss Rodeo Colorado Pageant for 5 years and continues to offer his time and talents where needed and requested. He has worked as the Chairperson for the Greeley Independence Stampede Scholarship Foundation, is currently the Co-Chairman for CSU Ag Day event, the Vice-Chairman for the Colorado FFA Foundation and the Co-Chairman of Round-Up at the Fort. Mark has extensive knowledge and an incredible working relationship with various rodeo committees and the PRCA where he serves on their Advisory Board for the Strategic Rodeo Council.
Karie O'Donnell Herbers- serves as the TREASURER of the Miss Rodeo America Scholarship Foundation. Karie is a former Miss Rodeo Washington, past member of the Miss Rodeo America Executive Board and served as National Director for the Miss Rodeo Washington Association for ten years. Karie works as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Eli Lilly & Company. She is a graduate of Central Washington University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Video Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Mass Communications as well as a Post Baccalaureate Specialization in Human Resource Management. She has also earned two 2-year degrees and 4 technical degrees. Karie lives in Ellensburg, WA with her husband Jay and their son Reid.
Kelly D. Baxley-
from Carrollton, Texas, serves as the SECRETARY
of the Miss Rodeo America Scholarship Foundation. He has worked for the fourth largest employer in the world, Siemens, since 1992. As a Senior Account Executive, he is responsible for developing business opportunities with the Texas Higher Education marketplace. Kelly is a graduate with honors from Paris Junior College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Air Conditioning Technology. Kelly and his wife Cindy, enjoy spending their free time in the great outdoors camping, fishing, hunting and doing what they can to preserve "mother nature."
Gayle Plackemeier- Gayle is from Giddings, Texas where she worked as a Registered Nurse-OB/GYN at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. She is married to Ronald Plackemeier, an attorney in Houston, Texas and they have 4 children. Gayle's oldest daughter Alyssa, was Miss Rodeo Texas 2007 and from that point on she has witnessed the growth of the Foundation. To Gayle, seeing young women succeed in their chosen field is very gratifying.
Desiree Larsen - Desiree, from Ogden, Utah, is a former Miss Rodeo Utah and has been associated with Miss Rodeo America in a variety of capacities. She has served as the Miss Rodeo Utah National Director and as a representative on the National Advisory Council and presently serves on the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo Executive Board as well as the Ogden Pioneer Heritage Foundation Board. Desiree is a tenured Full Professor at Weber State University and teaches in technical selling and specializes in putting together sales presentations with over 25 years of selling experience to Fortune 500 companies.
Berlyn Miller-Berlyn is a long-time friend of Miss Rodeo America, Inc., and Las Vegas resident joined the MRA Scholarship Foundation board in 2007. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Miller is President of Berlyn Miller & Associates, a Business and Government Relations Consulting firm.
Roger L. Nuttall
- Roger is the President of Camping World, the nation’s largest network of RV
Dealerships, with over 135 locations in 36 states. Mr. Nuttall
grew up in St. George, Utah and attended Dixie State University prior to
completing his undergraduate education at Weber State University with a degree
in accounting. Nuttall became a Certified Public Accountant in 1976 and was
employed by Grant Thornton, LLC, a national CPA firm to 1981.During his
years in the accounting industry Mr. Nuttall became well known for his expertise
in the RV industry. During his
time in the Ogden area he was a member of the board of directors for the
largest RV Dealership in Utah, Blaine Jensen, an RV dealership that was
acquired by Camping World. In 2003, Mr. Nuttall was invited to move to the
Chicago area to take the position of Chief Financial Officer of Camping World
at its headquarters in Lincolnshire, IL. In 2009 he was promoted to the Chief Operating Officer position and then
in 2011, he was designated the President of Camping World. He now is responsible for over 135 dealership
and retail locations with over 10,000 employees. He currently serves on
the board of the Miss Rodeo American Foundation, is a member of the Dixie State
University National Advisory Council and has provided years of service in many civic
and religious leadership roles. He is
married to the former Jan Gardiner, an Ogden, Utah native; they have one
daughter, five sons and proudly boast 24 grandchildren.
